Love from: Larry and Leslie

For years a magnetic photo lived on our frig, a gift from Karen and Lauren. In it a dozen women and one man gathered, dressed in fanciful, diaphanous clothes, with flowers in their hair and wands held aloft. It was the summer of 1986 when Karen and Lauren gave us a shower in anticipation of our second child, Lily. Our friends, men and women alike, came to their first house in Concord, invited to dress as fairies to welcome the new baby with best wishes and wonder. Lauren was the only man to join in, sure enough of himself to do so, but more importantly, fully ready to enter Karen’s world of fantasy. What kind of man does that to show his love and support the imagination of his amazingly creative spouse? What kind of friend offers a friendship so generous as to play Peter Pan at a party? - With love, Leslie and Larry
