Love from: Ellie & Richard
ELLIE and I met you Lauren as joint venture partners in a very small real estate deal.
About 30 years ago, We bought the Blue Diner, the best small all-night restaurant in Boston.
This venture was successful , not only because it was fun and profitable, but mostly because it was the beginning of a friendship with two amazing people.
We think of Lauren’s sound reasoning and analytical skills, seemingly making problems
or issues clear and manageable. A lover or arts and creativity, he’s always supported Karen’s artistic energy and skill. We loved watching him create his dream home
In Aquinnah. He had the ability to resource unique materials for that home, and has always found a creative way to solve a problem. As an advisor and mentor to many, he’s always available for a meaningful chat.
We have wonderful memories of times spent with Lauren and family on the Vineyard, including ;
The cabin on Menemsha pond; James Taylor singing under the full moon at the Ag Hall;
Riding around the dirt rounds in “big daddy”; painting rocks with Karen at the stonewall cottage; tennis and activities at Chilmark community center ; great meals with freshest fish from Larsen’s and sunsets on Darkstar In Menemsha harbor.
We’re lucky to have you as our friend, and can’t believe you’re “70”
You’re Marvelous.
We look forward to many more years of meaningful memories.
Happy Birthday
Much love
Richie and ELLIE
